2012 New Sunday Evening Service

Here at CCLW we are preparing to implement some changes that God has laid upon our hearts. As members of the body here at CCLW, we want you to know what will be changing so that you can pray and prepare to engage in what God is doing.

We invite you to join us as we step forward in obedience to the vision that God has given.

For the past few years our Wednesday Evening services have included a time of ministering to one another. These times have been fresh, exciting, and hugely instrumental in our individual growth! That is because the body of Christ was designed by God to grow as the members minister to one another
(Ephesians 4:16).

God has laid upon our hearts a new Sunday Evening Service where we can continue to practice the one another ministry.

This service will be very different from our Sunday Morning and Wednesday Evening services. This service will be focused on allowing members of the body to minister to one another. We will allow the Spirit to lead us, so each week will be slightly different depending on what God wants to do.

These services will include worship, a short exhortation, prayer requests, praise reports, prayer for one another, ministering to one another, exercising of spiritual gifts.

This “One Another Ministry” is essential for our individual growth, our care for one another, and our unity in the Lord. I pray that you will consider joining us as we journey toward maturity. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

-Pastor Jerry

Paint Showers Of Blessing

On Thursday we received a phone call. The person on the line said, “We have a couple hundred gallons of paint, and the manpower to apply it, we would like to donate it to the church.” Only God can provide like that! It was enough to paint all three buildings! Praise the Lord!!!

The Bible In 3 Years

…Starting January 2012…
theBibleIn3Years (1)

For many years we have encouraged you to read through the whole Bible, offering a one year reading plan. God has given us new direction for next year.

We invite you to join us as we read through the whole Bible in three years, from Genesis to Revelation.

Along with the reading plan we will offer the following things to enrich your time in the Word.

Line-WholeCounsel
Starting in January, our Wednesday evening services will be changed to an overview teaching of all the chapters we read that week.

Line-Questions
As you read through the Bible you may have questions about customs, history, doctrine or other details. You will be able to send questions by email or text message and one of the pastors will respond with an answer.

Line-Understanding
We will answer some of the questions with short videos that will be posted online. That way you will be able to benefit from the questions others have asked.

2011 Church Baptisms

We had an amazing time watching people testify of the work that God has done in their hearts by being baptized. Please pray for these who have taken this step of obedience to the Lord, that they would continue to go forward in the relationship with God that He desires to have with them.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Calvary Chapel Living Water is to equip the saints to Invite people to Jesus, Believe in Jesus, and Serve one another in love by the Holy Spirit.

Invite People To Jesus

We believe that one of the primary reasons God has called us to gather together in His name is to invite people to Jesus. As a result, we seek to present the gospel in our services. We also reach out to our community as God leads. And we send out and support the missionaries that God has raised up.

Believe In Jesus

The second reason God has called us to gather together is to grow in our belief of Jesus and learn to live out our faith. As a result, we emphasize the teaching of the whole counsel of the Word of God. Our ministries exist to help you apply the Word of God to your unique circumstances and place in life.

Serve One Another

The third reason God has called us to gather together is to serve each other in love by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a result, we encourage you to exercise the gifts that God has given you to meet practical and spiritual needs. Where appropriate, we also give opportunity in our services for the body to minister to each other in prayer or Scripture or spiritual gift.

Pastor Cisco Is Cancer Free!

Pastor Cisco spent the day at the hospital yesterday, having some tests and scans done to check for blood clots. Everything came back clear. No clots anywhere in his body. All of his blood work shows a real positive impact from his surgery.

The biopsy came back positive, it was malignant kidney cancer. The fatty tissue of the kidney protected it from spreading in his body. So he is cancer free!! He requires no chemo-therapy, radiation or anything like that. They will continue to check his blood every six months, but other than that there is no treatment plan.

Please pray for:

-Lenora (his nurse from yesterday), she just became a Christian. She is attending Harvest and asked for prayer in her faith, that she would continue to grow.

-Eva (his doctor from yesterday), she is asking for prayer for strength for her stressful life as a doctor.

-Mark (the technician specialist), he is a new believer and was baptized, but he knows he needs to attend a Christian church. He asked for prayer that God would lead him to the right church.
